• Are available to be personally involved in the business. This is a hands on role, which requires the dedication and motivation which sets Mary Ryan's apart from other booksellers
  
• Possess a working knowledge of business and a good entrepreneurial flair
  
• Appreciate the community, culture and market in which your store will operate
  
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills coupled with a strong customer service ethic. And the ability to bring pleasure to customers as well as the leadership to encourage staff to feel pride and ownership in your Mary Ryan's franchise
  
• Exhibit the personal financial ability or backing to fund the investment
  
• Know how to focus on what's important in a retail business and are willing to follow a successful system
  
• Show an eye for the finer points (retail is detail) and pride themselves on creating exceptional displays, provide excellent product range and professional advise in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.
